The applicant is required to have successfully completed a master’s degree in a relevant discipline within the fields of medical, veterinary and/or life sciences. The applicant must also have had an animal experiment licence or otherwise have worked on animal experiments outside Denmark previously. Additionally, the applicant is required to have obtained qualifications corresponding to the completion of one or more courses with relevance to animal experimentation, including species-specific knowledge of the animals to be used. These courses/qualifications are to ensure that the applicant is able to use laboratory animals in accordance with a high ethical and scientific standard and must, as a minimum, correspond to functions ABD-courses/FELASA-C course.
