Dispensation from § 56

§56 – Animal experimentation licence: If you do not have a certificate from an approved
Danish animal experimentation course, but you wish to take responsibility for animal
experiments and to be able to apply for a licence to carry out animal experiments, then you must apply for a dispensation for §56 (functions ABD in accordance with EU directive 2010/63, Article 23.2).

How to apply for § 56 dispensation

The applicant is required to have successfully completed a master’s degree in a

Additionally, the applicant is required to have obtained qualifications corresponding to the completion of one or more courses with relevance to animal experimentation, including species-specific knowledge of the animals to be used.
